Whenua Tech Incubator is a not-for-profit initiative driven by purpose and partnership. We empower Rangatahi to thrive in the digital economy through structured, real-world learning experiences that are grounded in culture, co-designed with industry, and delivered in collaboration with educators.

We are not a training provider, we are the bridge. A systems-level connector that translates employer needs into transformative pathways for rangatahi, helping them move from education to opportunity, from community to innovation, from potential to leadership.

Who We Are

We are a movement rooted in manaakitanga, whakapapa, and kaupapa Māori innovation.

The name Whenua Tech combines two core ideas:

Whenua, meaning land, grounding, and source of identity.
Tech, representing the digital tools, future focused thinking, and industries we aim to shape.

Together, Whenua Tech means “technology grounded in land, people, and culture.” It reflects our belief that the future of tech must not only be innovative it must be inclusive, indigenous, and interconnected.

Our gold-orange emblem is more than design, it’s a stylised marae, representing the heart of Māori communities and a place of collective transformation. The upward lines signify elevation, growth, and leadership, while the symmetry honours balance between tradition and technology.
